Need help with a series of Crashes on newly purchsed DELL
XPS desktop.


I purchased a Dell XPS desktop approximately 3 weeks ago
and have encountered numerous crashes / BSOD. I'm hoping
that I'm posting this information in the correct
newsgroup, if not can someone point me in the right
direction.

At the bottom of this document I will list my hardware and
software specifications.

The errors on the blue screen were varied and today's was :


( 0x86427532, 0x000001BB, 0x00000002, 0x00000003,
0x0000000B )

if this helps.

Prior to today's crash I spoke to a Dell technician over
the phone regarding the other crashes. It seems we may
have resolved that problem ( I think ). He came to the
conclusion that I was having problems with Drivers
associated with McAfee and Kingston products. I fully
removed those products and the crashes stopped up until
today ( it was about 3 days of trouble free operation ).

I'm simply looking for advise and input from someone
knowledgeable with this type of problem.

I'm also trying to figure out if everything was software
related as opposed to hardware related. Reason being if it
is hardware related I have only 2 days left until I can
return the desktop & I really really do not want to do
that, for a variety of reasons.


If anyone reading this can possibly assist me I would
greatly appreciate it.

i am having the same problem as you and i have found out
what cause them (on my machine at least) i have have a
MSI KT333 ULTRA-ARU motherboard which uses the VIA KT33
chipset (or via 8233a) now when you install window it
automatically installs the basic via chipset driver this
is the fun part the via chipset try to acess a part of
you hard drive reserved for system use only (error
message:- page_fault_in_nonpage_area or win32.sys or
symevent.sys) now the chipset and windows are having
problem communicate properly and when the chipset try's
to work hence system shut down. I have tryed to contact
via (website_ and MS (website) and no joy the only thing
i can suggest nad that is what i am going to do is change
my motherboard to a NFORCE2 chipset (Nvidia chipset)this
proble has nothing to do with your hardware e.g HDD,CD-
rom, etc but the AGP chipset manufacturer and the windows
it's self. i am looking for a patch as i type this and if
i comes across anything i will let u know. if u use msn
add me to your buddy list and use ref CRASH, Death,
Murder for your first message so i know what it is
requarding (e-mail address removed) any patches or pdf

Could be a memory problem. Download memtest86 from
http://www.memtest86.com and run it for a few cycles.
You should get zero errors. Also Microsoft has recently
posted a memory diagnostic. I haven't tried it. It's at:
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp#top

Return it to Dell or call them and have them fix it for you, still
under warranty
