Hey there, I need help deciding something.

Deciding between:
an 'All In One' B/W Laser (and buying a newer color inkjet printer later on)
~OR~
an 'All In One' Color Inkjet

I really need to get back to storing my business documents from the past
months digitally. I've been actually (believe it or not) scanning one page
at a time then storing the files on my PC for print at any future given
date. It's optimum to have these documents in more than one medium for tax
and business purposes.

Reason I expect anyone to disbelieve this is that I've used a really really
old cheap scanner of mine which takes forever to scan a single page. & no, I
don't have a copier. So, yah, it's been painstaking.

Now, basically I would go with the Inkjet If I KNEW that scanners these days
can be quick........ARE They????

and since from past experience, I've seen how awesome the color print
quality of an inkjet can be. (my present one is 2 years old and pretty good
itself, though problematic recently.)

Yet I've been highly impressed by how good and quicker a laser copier can
be.

SO, what'd ya think?

Thanks in advance for any input, insight and suggestions.
('been all over Zdnet and all major online stores looking around and
checking out reviews and still can't make up my mind.)

I believe they are much faster than they used to be. Maybe 1-2 minutes
to scan a pic.

Laser is the way to go for BW. Forget inkjets for anything but color
photos, they break and clog all the time.

Yah, just got a Canon 4200 which allows me to scan in documents one after
another in good time.

as for my original question, I decided to opt for individual components in
lieu of an "all in one". This way, I won't have to worry about returning the
entire unit if any individual item breaks down.

Thanks for the advice.
