Need help to resize my monitor

I have a problem with resizing my monitor. I have just
played a game and normally when the game is over and I
have closed it the screen resizes itself and everything
goes back to normal.
Only this time the screen has'nt, and it has shrunk
giving me a "14" or "15" screen instead of a "17" screen.

Please can someone help me I am going crazy.

Right-click on your desktop and choose Properties. The Display Properties
applet will open. Click the Settings tab. Where it says Screen Resolution,
drag the slider to the right once and press Apply. Repeat until the
resolution is at your desired setting.
