Need help to fix the system drive!

Help ASAP!
I have a win2k sever + Exchange 2k. The system dirve no
longer boots. I have tried everything.
I am now loading a fresh copy on the same drive( I rename
the old winnt folder) I read a document on how to fix the
system drive by installing a fresh copy of win2k server,
then going to the recovery concel and renaming the new
backup Winnt as the active winnt folder to fix the boot
system. Can some one direct me to the documentation? Or
does someone have a better idea?

I tried all kinds of repairs already.

Do you have a good recent backup that includes system state? Was this a DC?
