Thank you for helping me. I do not know anything about writing code, so I hope you can help me. I have just created my website and it looks fine on my browser, but on my Mom's computer she says she has to scroll left to right to see everything and that the hyperlinks are showing up black, not blue. Can someone check it out for me? The address is www.brickellproperty.com. Thanks!

Welp, for one thing you have an image file that is 1280 px wide...this is killer wide, you want to design your site for about 750px wide if you are going with fixed size and not percentage collapsing table method. But start by resizing that monster cityscape to maybe 700 px .

Make EVERYTHING smaller...I've never seen buttons that big! :-)

Mom's machine...could be a number of things; her monitor gamma may be off, it may be set too dark, she may be using AOL (gag).

Kristi,

Your biggest issue in the page scrolling left and right in the browser is due to your image sizes, I would imagne you have a large viewing resolution set in your monitor.

Your buttons are 225 pixel width and you have 5, so your total pixel width is going to be 1125 pixels. This will cause scrolling in 800x600 and 1024x760 resolutions.

Your large picture is 1280 pixels, causing the same issue as your buttons.

Your Mom may be seeing black because she clicked a hyperlink. You are using the default colors of links being blue and visited links being a dark purple, but your mom may be seeing that as black.

The best way to stop right / left scrolling will be to resize your images and then resample them.

Go to File > Preview in browser> and view different resolutions to see how your site will look.

Your in "JUMBO" size now :-)), so it will probably look quite a bit different on your monitor if you resize the images.

Thank you so much for your help. I understand now, and I am going to work on fixing it now. I really appreciate the assistance.

Thanks so much, this is my first attempt, so it is a huge learning process. Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.
