Need help sharing USB PRinter on XP Pro network

I'm trying to do a simple thing that just won't work! I've got two XP Pro
machines joined by a router. The router provides the Internet connection
thru it's uplink port (Home cable modem) and both machines get on the Net
and surf just fine. No problems so far.

The printer is on the main machine, and it's a USB port HP 2210. The main
machine prints off it just fine but the one on the the other end of the
network just cannot see it. I've tried adding it just about every way but
stretching a second USB cable to it!

The PC's both have sharing on and firewall off. Both have XP Pro, SP2
installed. what can I do to find this printer from the other machine?
Adding it as a 'NETWORK' printer does not work as it's not seen on the
network. On the main machine, the printer is shared.

HELP! Sorry this is also posted on windows.networking but I need an answer
quickly. thank you!

I seem to recollect that the hp printer driver installation disk has a
seperate install procedure if your installing for use on a network.
Are you able to see the network pc's on both sys?

Yes the network works otherwise. Both machines see themselves and each
other on the Network
