Need help setting up HP 4500n LaserJet

Hello all,

I just purchased a used HP 4500n color LaserJet from a bankruptcy
sale. I got a good deal on it, but I really don't know anything about
it. I need some help getting it up and running, so if any "experts"
out there can help, it'd be very helpful to me.

First of all, it says that the toner is empty so I need to get new
toner for it. But, it looks like I have to buy a drum and then also
buy each separate color toner for the drum cartridge. Is this
correct??

Second, I'm not much of a techy but I know enough to get myself in
trouble. We're going to use the printer in our very small office. We
have a DSL connection and have hooked up four computers to share a
fifth computer and the DSL connection via a small LAN hooked up to an
8-port router. I basically only know enough to have been able to get
our LAN setup and get a folder on the fifth computer set up as a share
for our network. Now, I'd like to set up the HP 4500n color laserjet
to be able to print over the network. The HP has an ethernet port on
the back and at one point (at its prior company) had an IP address
assigned to it. I would like to be able to allow all the users on the
LAN to print to this printer. I was hoping it would be as easy as
plugging it in, finding out it's IP (how do you do that?) and then
setting up to print to that IP. I doubt it's that easy.

If anyone, or several of you, can walk me through how to set this up,
I'd be grateful.

Thanks for your help.

I hope you got a real GOOD deal on the price of the printer. The
color toners and drum are pricey.
