I am looking for some guidance on creating a simple database in Microsoft
Access 2007 where I can store product registration information (for example,
product names, license information, machine assignment, so forth and so on),
however I really don't know where to start. I've only used Microsoft Access a
few times so I'm quite new to it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

caution: no project is ever quite as simple as you think it's going to be.
you need to start by designing your tables and relationships according to
relational design principles. then build queries, forms, reports on top of
that foundation. suggest you see the following webpage, Tip 1, and follow
the links. when you're ready, go back and read Tips 2 thru 9 again following
the links.

One thing to bear in mind is that Access is a tool kit to enable you to
build an application. It's not an application in the same way that Word or
Excel are.
