Need help quickly! Boot problems on Toshiba Notebook with Intel UNDI PXE 2.0

Hi,

I recently spilled a drink on my Toshiba Satellite notebook. The
effects are that I was able to boot once or twice, but then
subsequently am not able to boot. I receive the fabled "Intel UNDI PXE
2.0" error when I attempt to boot with my Ethernet cable plugged; I
receive a blank screen with nothing plugged in.

Basically, my boot sequence has been affected. Either
A) my cmos battery and system is corrupt
B) my bios settings are corrupt
C) the boot sector on my HDD is corrupt

What do I need to do to diagnose and correct this error? Is it
mandatory that I go to a service center or is it possible to resolve
this at home by opening my computer and/or using flash updates, etc?

Please advise, I appreciate any help you can provide to get my running
again. Thank you.

Take it to an authorized Toshiba repair center. You've probably
shorted something out in the machine when you spilled a drink on it.
Unless you're an experienced repair person, do not attempt to take the
Satellite apart. Have it repaired - and do not turn it on again.

If it's your CMOS/BIOS settings that's corrupted, then try getting into
the Toshiba setup screen to reset. I believe it's the F2 key to get in
at boot.

I would guess that your mainboard at a minimum, probably the CPU and maybe
your hard drive are fried. Unless you can obtain the requisite parts and
are used to working in the tiny confines of a laptop, a service center or
new machine are your best bets.

Since you spilled a liquid on electronic equipment you have probably fried
some(if not all) components inside the laptop. The best would be to take it
to a service center and have them give you a estimate for fixing it.
