Hi, i'm new to these forums so i am not sure whether i have posted i
the correct catergory.

I own a EASYNOTE BU Laptop, from Packard Bell.

When i turn on my laptop, i have a black screen come up, with th
following text:

Windows Error Recovery
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might b
the cause.

If Windows files have been damaged or configured incorrectly, Startu
Repair can help diagnose and fix the problem. If power was interrupte
during startup, choose Start Windows Normally.

Seconds until the highlighted choice will be selected automatically
**

Ok, however when i Launch Startup Repair, it waits a few seconds, an
puts me on this black screen:

Windows Boot Manager
Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connecte
to your computer.

This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device suc
as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by fault
hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Mak
sure any removable storage is properly conncted and the restart you
computer.

If you continue to receive this error message, contact the hardwar
manufacturer.

Status: 0xc00000e9
Info: An unexpected I/O error has ocurred.

I have no removable hardware on my laptop, however i do have a
Internal SD Card Drive, Internal CD/DVD Drive, and 2x Internal US
Drives. So i then turn my computer off and on again, and it comes u
with the original screen. But however, when i choose Start Window
Normally, it seems to load fine for a few seconds, then seems to reboo
the laptop back to the original screen, so there is no way that i ca
access my files, it seems to just be going round in a big circle.

Any help is extremely apreciated, as i am out of ideas.

Please reply as soon as possible.

Thanks Again.
Has anyone got any idea of what this problem is? It just started doin
it last night and remains the same this morning

What system restore capability came with your laptop? Have you tried that?
If you don't know how to do a system restore on your PB, I suggest you
contact PB technical support for assistance.

If you need other countries, search using your favorite search engine.

"system recovery" is the term you should be using, not "system
restore" which is a Windows function available on all Windows PCs.
