Need help installing driver for Syquest Ezflyer 230 in XP

I need help to install a driver for my SyQuest EzFlyer 230 parallel
port removable harddrive.

I have downloaded from SyQuest ephdw2k.inf and ephdw2k.sys
which are driver files for Windows 2000 and Windows XP

I was instructed by the readme file that I should just attach this
external harddrive to the parallel port and start up Windows, then the
system will ask for a driver I should just enter these files.

But XP does not find my EzFlyer on the parallel port and never asks
for the drives.

I would very much appreciate if someone would inform me how to install
this driver and get XP to recognize my SyQuest EzFlyer 230 harddrive.

Hi Hal,

What protocol does the drive require; EPP, ECP, standard? it makes a difference. You may need to change the type of printer port
in the BIOS to have it recognized.
