I don't own such a device myself, but supposedly the Win2k drivers will
work:

Is it a parallel port device?
You may have to set up the port correctly. For example, I assume that you
have the port configured as EPP or ECP in your system's BIOS (for
bi-directional operation). Then, see the port in Device Manager. On the Port
Settings tab, check the "Enable legacy Plug and Play detection" box. I'm not
sure about IRQs.
I believe that Microsoft doesn't encourage the use of "legacy" interfaces
under XP, but they didn't kill all support. I used a legacy ISA (non-PnP)
SCSI adapter for a while, but as my current mainboard has no ISA slots, the
card has been retired. The main drawback was that the card was not
autodetected during an XP repair installation, so I had to install it
manually, and then sort out the drive letter assignments.
There's a certain pleasure in getting an historic piece of gear like a SparQ
running under XP, but there's no future in it. If you get it to work, I
suggest copying all the data from the cartridges onto more industry-standard
media (e. g., CD-R), and then retiring the SparQ.
(I have an old 21 MB Floptical drive in the basement. The Floptical was the
direct ancestor of the LS120/LS240; LS stands for "laser servo".)
Good luck.
