Need help:Impossible to install programs

I have some applications that I used before and I want to instal it again,
but now they don't want to instal any more.
Every time I try SETUP.exe I have the gray error window with:
"Cannot find file SETUP.exe (or one of its components). Check to ensure
the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are
available."

In ex., Google earth is one of that program. And Power Translator too. And
there are a lot more.

I have Windows XP Pro without any updates.

Sometimes all you have to do is delete all the files in the windows temp
folders to fix that. Also, sometimes it's due to malware eg
viruses/trojans/sypware. In other words, the first step is to make sure
you have a clean working, non-infected pc in advance of trying any other
fixes.
