need help i am an idiot

Please help, I had to go away from home so i went into
internet options security feature and created a password
to prevent my children going to sites they shouldn,t ,
now I,m back and can not remember the password, is there
a way around this. Ithank anybody who reads this for
giving me there time.

I'm not aware of anything in XP or Internet Explorer that can provide
password protection to Internet. Did you use some 3rd party software
(or a router) to do this? If so, specifically, what did you do?

Hi Rob,
you can assign a password at the content propperties of the internet explorer. Propperties / Content and here the first entry "Inhaltsratgeber" which would translate to something like "content advisor".
So I can confirm that it is possible, but then my wisdom ends - sorry.
