Need help - Deleted file while trying to get rid of trojan

A few days ago I got an Avast! warning about a trojan on my computer in the
form of newdotnet. I tried to repair and then I put it into the Chest as
advised by Avast! The message continued to appear so I thought it would be
safer to delete. Now I cant get online, so presumably it has either
corrupted my computer or I have deleted something important. Also my
firewall cant be enabled since my problem. I have borrowed my dads laptop to
search for some resolutions and came across lspfix in www.cexx.org. I
thought that maybe I could download it to CD and then copy to my computer.
It tells you that you can download to floppy but their is no floppy drive on
this laptop, so I tried to save to CD drive. Then it tell me that CD drive
isnt recognised or something like that. Is there anywhere else that I can go
to follow directions as downloading doesnt seem to be an option.
Also I have tried several times to use system restore but each time it tells
me that there has been no changes. I have run Avast, AVG, Spybot S&D, and
Adaware, but nothing is working.
I will probably have to give my dad back his laptop by tomorrow evening, so
I am hoping to fix the problem myself before then!
Please Help Me!!!

Thank you Frank so much for your help! I followed all your instructions and
I can now go back online. I just have one other problem if you could please
help! When I sign into the desktop I am still getting an error message -
"RUNDLL
Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\MEWDOT~2.DLL
The specified module could not be found"
Other error messages that I had received along with that one have ceased. I
am presuming that newdotnet may still be on my computer somewhere, I have
uninstalled in from add/remove programs but I dont know where else to look
for it!
Thanks again for your help so far!

Go to Start | Run and type
regedit
and press <Enter>. In the left pane navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current version\Run
With Run highlighted look in the right pane for a line referring to NEWDOT.
In the right pane very carefully right click in the Name column for that
line and select Delete. Next time you start you should not see that
message.
