Need fax service

S

Shimon Sim

Hi
I was given assignment to find out more about options for receiving a lot of
fax.
I have no idea where to start.
The requirements are
1) must be able to receive 10-20 faxes at the same time
2) must save as electronic file. Could be tiff but PDF is better and if it
is searchable then it is perfect.
3) we need to configure the place where the received faxes are stored. The
best if we can let all the faxes received on some date be in folder with
date ID, like "my faxes\01172006"
4) COM interface or some API (for windows as we work with .NET) needed.

We need to know everything starting for amount of phone line to hardware and
software.
Can somebody help me with some leads?
I am sorry if I am in the wrong place.
Thank you very much,
Shimon Simkhovich

Definitely the wrong place. This group is to support the fax software that
integrates with Microsoft Outlook, most of which can barely even function
long enough to receive one fax.
Why not try Google?

I did try it first but didn't find what I wanted.
Thanks anyway.
Shimon.

MoreInfo

At the risk of sounding like a commercial, check out
http:\\www.snapsinc.com.
We have software that will allow concurrent fax reception on a
multi-trunk fax server.
Will save as TIF and PDF.
Is searchable, if used with optical character recognition.
Can be stored at any share point with just about any folder naming
convention.
Has a COM interface so that custom applications might interface through
the .NET framework.
Will interface with Outlook.
Will interface with Active Directory.
Hope this helps
