Need an eMarketing Solution

I am currently paying 1ShoppingCart.com $29 per month for an auto responder
and mailing list solution. Problem is that I have 30 clients now, and this is
getting very expensive. 1ShoppingCart.com allows me to create forms to put on
my clients web sites and these forms can be filled out by web visitors. The
system sends out an auto responder and all the names and email addresses are
kept in a database that we can use for eblasts and for their monthly
newsletter to be sent out automatically.

I know there are dozens of companies out there that do this. Problem is, I
don't want to keep paying $800-$900 per month.

Where can I purchase this sort of software/program outright so I don't have
to pay these monthly fees?

I used ASP to write a mail-merge application I called Promotion Pals that
provided the merchant with the same lead generating and customer
relationship functionality you've discribed (and more). I grabbed the
promotionpals.com domain as I have future plans and intend to rebuild using
ASP.NET.

Rather than explain it all in detail all I can help you come to terms with
is the classic response: "build it or buy it."
That's the way the world works ainna? No the bad news is there really isn't
much of an ideal shrinkwrapped solution. Find one if you can but you'll
likely find they are generally 80-20 solutions. 80% of what you need and the
20% you don't get is what bleeds you to death anyway

So you may have to figure out if your business is worth spending a few
thousand to have a developer write software for you and what your payback
period will be. Depending on your actual requirements it seems to me a
solution can be developed with a 3-6 month payback period which ain't so
shabby considering the alternative.
