I just put in some new ram on my computer today and my
computer was running fine before i did this but now i
cant even get windows to boot up. It will go through the
bios part and then stop. Is there anything that i can do
to where i dont have to erase my hard drive and start
over. I have alot of stuff that i dont want to lose on
there. Any help would be great.

Take out the new ram, leaving the old in. Be sure it is seated properly. If
the computer boots OK with the old ram, the new is not the correct type.

I pretty much found out the problem but still need some
help, I went into dos through my other hard drive and
tried to get a directory of my main hard drive and got a
message that said "cannot access fat due to bad sector"
is there anyway that i can get into my main hard drive
without losing all my files. I dont have an operating
system on the other hard drive. any help would be
appreciated.
