Need a step-by-step guide to remove all "hidden" data from Word (2003) document

Werner Sammer

I have to forward a given Word (2003) document to another person. But I have to be sure that no
hidden data is still included in the Word document.

I need a detailed step-by-step guide on how to remove all these data from a Word doc.
Resp. to verify that it is NOT included any more.

Unwanted data is:

- Track changes/History information
- Doc properties accessible through menu File->properties
- Other property data accessible through other menues/settings (?)
- Alternate data stream ADS data
- Possible other header (?) information.

Does someone know such a guide ?

Thank you
Werner

Hi Werner,

Some of that is built in to the Tools=>Options menus of Word 2003,
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HP051901021033.aspx
but you may also want to use the Add-in tool described here
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/834427/en-us?FR=1
(check the 'known issues' links in the article as well).
