Navigation buttons do not appear with the theme applied

I am using FP 2002 and I am building two different sites on godaddy linux 2.0
server....I am trying to apply a theme to the nav buttons only like I have
done many times before. When I publish they show up as default text nav
buttons and do not have the theme applied?????....Some of the themes will
work but the more simple ones that are just a thin line and some text do not
work. Go Daddy checked and claims their extensions are fine and I have them
installed correctly....I have tried uninstalling the extensions and
reinstalling but to no avail. Please help...why do just some of the themes
work and not others ...how can I fix this...the particular nav button theme
that I am trying to apply is "profile"....many others do not work as well. I
have used these themes before????

If using custom themes (not a default for all pages) as in custom link bars
you need to open the site on the hosted server running the FP 2002 SE and apply them there

I am not using custom themes....If I apply the theme to the whole site the
theme publishes on all pages... except the Navigation buttons....they do not
have the theme. No matter what I do I cannot get the Navigation buttons to
appear with the theme

When you inserted the nav bar did you select the button style the same as
the theme? (Use Page's Theme - is what it says - make sure you select this.

| This is one of the few themes that would work....I wanted the profile
theme

I am not using any theme on the site....I just want to have these nav buttons
be the profile theme....so I just highlight the nav buttons and edit
them...it gives me choices for the buttons Is that a problem????

Often, that is the problem. Open the live site in FrontPage, and apply the
button theme there. When a theme *only* for buttons is applied on a
disc-based web the theme sometimes does not get published.
