Navigating a word document

Can you set an F key to move from one predefined field to another in your
document?

eg

HPI: [field one]

CC: [field two]
 
F11 will advance from one field to another.

Do you recommend using the insert, field process or is there another way to
create/designate an area to navigate to?

You're the one who brought up fields, so I assumed you had fields in your
document. For this sort of form you can use either MacroButton fields (and
use F11) or form fields (and use Tab) or create a UserForm. ASK and FILLIN
fields are also available, but I find them less satisfactory.

populate word templates?
