autocorrect tips-- "shortcuts"

Hi,

I am a medical transcriptionist and uise the autocorrect in word 2003. I
just recently started a new job at home and am trying to get used to the
differences between the autocorrect and instant text which i use at another
job. Is there a way to assign a "toggle" key to disable autocorrect from
blowing out? Like if i want to type "hpi" and autocorrect is set up to blow
out, "HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS:" is there a way i can type "HPI" and have
it stay "HPI"? Any other tips would be appreciated.

Thanks, terri

You can press Ctrl+Z after it is "corrected" to Undo the correction.
