NAV 2003 - Re Activation Problem

My NAV system tray icon displays a red cross through it.
On clicking the icon a NAV screen displays saying that the
software needs to be re-activated.
Following the screen prompts I complete all actions and end
up with a screen that advises re-activation is successful.
However this is not the case and the same problem still
persists.

I have been to the Symantec knowledge base and found an
article entitled "Your Symantec product prompts you to
activate whenever the computer restarts". I downloaded and
ran the fix file but it did not solve the problem.

I also carried out all the suggested solutions detailed in
the article "Cannot start Norton AntiVirus 2003 after
installation" and needless to say none of them worked
either.

As such can anybody offer me any other advice.

I recently experienced the same problem on my old laptop with NAV2003. I
mention this not because I have a solution, but because I too followed that
same route. For this and various other reasons I eventually reinstalled Win2K
on the machine.
