nat?

Hi,

I have 2 domains (DOM1, DOM2). Each domain has identical
computers and unique IP addresses. I'd like to keep the
DC's with unique IP's but somehow make each workstation in
the different domains share the same IP. Example,
Computer A in DOM 1 has same IP as Computer A in DOM 2,
etc. I've got that working but now I want to move files
from Computer A in DOM 1 to Computer A in DOM 2. How
would I do this? NAT?

please help and thanks in advance!!!!

Hi Troy,

I suggest you go for a different IP addresses in the 2 networks. Is there
any reason you went for this design? I guess NAT won't help you here.

As long as the two systems can't see each other directly it'll work.
You need a router, and in your case you'd need two routers because a
router won't route to an IP it knows exists on it's side of the link.
So you'd route from network address range A, to address range B, then
back to the other network with range A.

Or renumber the network and use it appropriately.
