People in these forums have no reason to be nasty to others. Not all of us
are computer wizards, I do believe that is part of the reason for creation of
"help" forums.
What is wrong with you. Just looking for special attention? I am no worse
a person that any of you who want to insult me...in fact, I'm a better person.

Thanks so much for anyone who IS kind in answering posts. Perhaps in a few
months I WILL know a bit more about Vista...geez, only had it for a week.
But yup, I'm a "know zip, know nothin' green newbie.", and God forbid I'm
looking for some help that has to do with moving my info to VISTA, when it
was working fine before.

You are so right Leeza !

Please ask.
I am a "new Vista user too" since a couple of weeks.
And it would be my pleasure to help you if I know the answer(s)

Now now. Dry those tears, sweetheart. The point is that bluevoda
doesn't work with Vista.

It works with Windows 95, though. Maybe you can do a bit of dumpster-
diving, find an old machine to use for setting up your web site, and save
your Vista computer for simpler tasks, like text editing.

To whom are you addressing this? If you don't reply to the pertinent
post, no one will have any idea what you're talking about.

You are suffering from an attack of the clueless Leeza, those here who
only "Think" they know what they are on about :) Mark had it about right
so no use repeating it. You can safely bet that the more insulting they
are to "Newbies" the less confidence they really have in themselves.
'Tis a defense mechanism :)

If I understand your situation you are trying to get a web site up and
running using Vista and some design utility and not achieving your
desired design. Doesn't really matter what operating system
(Vista/XP/W98) you are using the key is to learn the capabilities of the
tools you are using. If it is having problems running under the Vista OS
it is probably not going to get better any time soon so you have two
choices, don't use Vista or don't use that particular tool. Since not
using Vista does not seem to be an option then I guess we have to
consider the tools and how to "Work around" the problem.

If you would care to drop an email in this box with a few details I will
be more than happy to see if we can find a few answers but my time is
pretty limited so don't be put off using the MS groups.

You've gotten some good answers but let me clarify things and give you
some suggestions. I am not saying any of this to hurt your feelings.

1. This is not a "help site". This is a Usenet newsgroup hosted on MS
servers. You are using a web interface to see it. Read the links below
to understand Usenet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/ - Usenet FAQs from the Internet FAQ Archives
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Usenet - a brief
explanation of newsgroups

2. As you have been told, the program you are using to make your website
is not compatible with Vista. You need to use a program that is
compatible. Possibly NVU would work and it is free (Google for it). I
would expect Microsoft's replacement for FrontPage, Microsoft
Expressions Web, to work but since I don't use it, I can't comment on it.

3. For more newbie-friendly help than Usenet, I suggest you try MVP
Patty MacDuffie's very nice web forum Computer Haven. They will not be
able to make a third-party program that doesn't work with Vista
magically work with that operating system but they will be able to help
and guide you with your website as well as help you understand Vista.
