Hi Nass,
thanks for posting a message to help me, the only problem is i havent a
clue what the event viewer is or red crosses/pluses. As for the chkdsk is
that the check disc? And if so, do i just inswert it into the computer and
press run? sorry to be a pain an not know what all the above is, really
appreciate your help tho.

Hi Paul,
No, to Run the chkdsk what you need is to Open the RUN Command, how?.
Click on the Start Button, Click on RUN and type in the Text area:
chkdsk and click OK then wait for it to finish.

Another Utility in MS is sfc /scannow, to do that just cut and past this to
your RUN command and click OK, geet your XP CD handy you may need to hand in
if there a file missing or corrupt for the windows to repair.

About how to access the Event Viewer, click on Start >> Control Panel >>
Performance and Maintenance Option >> Administrator Tools >> Double click
Event Viewer and there check all Application,security and System for Error
messages may shed some light on the cause of the Error, wrrite it down and
post it here if the chkdsk and sfc /scannow did not help.
