Narrations saved as WAV files

If I record narration in PowerPoint and then Save As... HTML, the sounds are
all saved in WAV format. Is there a way to get them to save in another
format, such as WMA?

You can download Windows Media Encoder here,

Windows Media Encoder is a free tool that can convert WAV to WMA, AVI to WMV
and etc.
