Narration cuts off in slide show

I have recorded my powerpoing narration and it is embeded in the
presentation. When I listen to each slide individually the narration is
fine. When I a watch the presentation as a slide show the narration
sometimes cuts off too soon and the slide changes. I've tried rehearse
timings a couple times and have re-recorded a couple times, but I'm still
having the same issues. I would be so grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks!!!

Try right clicking the speaker icon and check its total playing time.
Then compare this with the time in the slide transition pane for auto
transition

The latter should be slightly longer if it isnt adjust it.

Thank you for your response. I tried adding time, even excessive time, and
it's still not working. Any more suggestions? Thanks!

You might want to check that in the effects tab of the custom animation entry
"stop playing after 1 slide" is chosen

Is there another sound anywhere on the slide that could stop the narration?

I'm having exactly the same problem. When I right-click the speaker, I don't
see any times? What am I doing wrong?

OK, I went through that process & my narration is still being cut off. Now I
can't find the effects tab entry "stop playing after 1 slide". That doesn't
appear when I look under the effects tab.
