When I didn't understand user accounts, I named the first
administrator account a ridiculous name. Now I'm trying
to clean up my system. If I Right click Start, choose
explore, find Documents and Settings, right click name
I want change and get message "x is a windows system
folder and is required for windows to run properly. It
cannot be moved or renamed. How do I rename this
directory item?

To rename a user account:

Click the [Start] button on the taskbar
Settings
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Computer Management
Click the + next to "Local Users and Groups"
Click on the "Users" folder
Right-click on the user name
Click "Rename"
Type the new name
Press [Enter]

Make a new account instead of renaming. Here are some instructions, with
thanks and credit to S. Ramesh:

1) Create a new account
2) Logon to that account to create and initialize the profile
3) Logon to an admin account that isn't the account being copied to or
from
4) Open the System control panel
5) Click the Advanced tab
6) Click Settings under User Profiles
7) Select a profile to copy from [OEM profile]
8) Click Copy To
9) Type or browse to the profile to copy to (C:\Documents and Setting
\user)

After you've got the new account all set up and all your data
transferred over, then delete the old account.
