User name

The computer that I use was originally set up by another employee. I
have deleted that employee from the user accounts, however, the
directory under Documents and Settings maintains the original users name.

C:\Documents and Settings\old name

How do I get rid of that name in the directory and replace it with my name?

I tried to simply rename the file but got this message that it is a
windows system folder and can not be renamed or moved.

Does this person's name have to remain on my system forever?

Normally you would go to Start > control panel > user
accounts . Then create an acount for your self, then log
into that account using log off , log on. then go back to
user accounts and delete his account, you might have to
go to the folder tree and you should be able to delete it
and yours should be there. You might want to go into his
folders and move whatever you want into your account
folder.
If you have any trouble deleting it try starting into
safe mode and log on as administrator and try there.
