Change name of system folder to match name of user account, how?

I changed my name on my user account, but the old name for the Documents
folder did not change. It is still listed as my wife's name when I pull the
directory up on windows explorer. How can I get the system file, where My
Documents is stored, to reflect the new name of the user account? When I try
to rename it, it tells me that it is a system file and it cannot be renamed.

Do you have Home or Pro? If you have Home Edition, you need to make a
new user account and then copy over the data you want from the old one
before deleting it. Here is a link to help:

If you have Pro, MVP Hans-Georg Michna says:

"In Windows XP Professional you can actually change the underlying
account name. If you open Computer Management and click on Local Users
and Groups, Users, you see the genuine account user name in the
leftmost column. You can change it here by pressing F2 or by
right-clicking the row and choosing Rename."
