#name?

I have setup a workbook so that I can have a user compile a simple report. I
have 3 worksheets each of these are SAP Business Warehouse queries. The third
sheet also contains rather simple formulas at the right of the data (ie
lookups referring to the other two sheets). These formulas appear to be fine
and appear without error. I have a 4th pivot table sheet that places certain
colums in a specific order.
The issue I have is when the other user refreshes the pivot table, 3 columns
show "#NAME?", however when I refresh the pivot from the same file the
refresh works fine....i'm stumped!

I have removed the issue of versions because I have refreshed the reports in
both excel 2002 and 2007 and I get the same results. The user only users
excel 2002
Appreciate any assisance!

Hard to say without seeing the formulas, but is it possible you have used
any formulas from the analysis toolpak, and the user simply doesn't have it
installed perhaps?

If you do have it installed then try taking off the AT addin and see if you
then get the same issue.

Failing that do you have any SAP specific Excel addins that the user
doesn't? Either way it sounds like you have something the user doesn't.

Is it just the Pivot table that shows #NAME (Can't see how to be honest), or
is it the source data that shows it as well. if so then post back with
examples of the formula from each of the columns showing #NAME, and it may
give us a clue.

Not sure it is a full list, but any of the following will require the user
to have the AT else they will get #NAME

The ATP functions became worksheet functions in 2007, and the OP reported the
same problem in 2007. Likely the formulas are expecting an Add-In that is
not present.

Hi Jerry, long time no see - Hope all is well with you and yours.

The way I read the OP (possibly in error of course) was that the Sys Admin
was having no issues and that the Sys Admin had tried using it in both 2002
and 2007 with no error, but that the User he was trying to help only had
2002, and was the one with the error. That left it conceivable I think that
the admin may well have had the AT present in his version of 2002, and
wouldn't have needed it in 2007.

The user with only 2002 I figured was a good candidate for no AT, or as we
said some other addin.

Best Wishes
