name of the current chapter on each slide

Hi

I have a powerpoint presentation splited into several chapters. I would like
to obtain on each page, the name of the current chapter. It is possible to
do this automatically.

Not unless you break each chapter into it's own presentation then link them
all together. That way you can put the chapter information into the footer
and it will appear on each slide in that chapter.

Thanks for your answers,
By automatically, I meant, may be have the name of the current master in the
footer for exemple as the example of numering "x page of XX" when XX is
automatically recalculated depend on the number of slides.

just another precision, I mean the name of the current master if I splited
my chapter by master, as you tell me previously.
