N2K File Issue

I have an IBM ThinkPad x40 Windows XP SP1, Office 2003....

For some reason the user's N2K file keeps on getting corrupted (or so
I think it's corrupted). I have recreated the profile and the N2K
file several times but the user is still complaining that Outlook is
not remembering external addresses that he has entered over time.

Anyone ever seen or heard of this before??

Yes. Not sure what the answer is, the NK2 file may or may not be corrupted.
We wrote a utility that will let you read the NK2 file. You needn't buy it
to get some benefit. Download the demo version, put it on the computer in
question and see if it opens the NK2 file properly. If so, then I'd
probably suggest creating a new (and different named) profile. Doing that
will create a new empty NK2 file. Delete that one and rename the older NK2
file to the new profilename.nk2. See if that fixes the problem.
