My XP system will not run an MSI installer....

I am trying to install VoxAtc on my XP Pro PC. The downloaded
installed is a WIndows .MSI package. When I click it, it fails to
run, Windows says the Windows Installer service was not found.
It is kind of strange that they have a MSI installer rather than the
usual type setup.exe file.

Did that, but I still get the same message that the WIndows Installer
could not be accessed. Regards, Geronimo.

Make sure its service is not disabled. Normally it would be set to
"manual".

I reinstalled WIndows Installer with the latest version, however I got
the same message: "the Windows Installer could not be accessed".
Strange.

If you go to "My Computer", "Tools", "Folder Options", "File Types"
do you have a "MSI" as a file extension in the window? And if so does it
show 'Windows Installer Package" ?
