I use Norton antivirus,Spyboot,ad-aware,hdvalet. all says OK after doing
their job. I have noticed a file in C:temp that reapears with a helper file
at startup after having run all programs and shut down. I feel invaded but am
not shure. The file name is rtdrvmon (in Properties it is original name
Realtek Planet 2002) the helper is bbassistant a txt file with writing I
don't understand. I have to pull the power coard at night or? Any Help Please.

Hi,

<quote>
I wanted to take a minute and set the record straight regarding
rtdrvmon.exe. This is not a pop-up program, this is not spyware, this is not
a virus, and this is not detrimental to your system. This is a low-level
scanner driver that enables scanning for the Lexmark X1150 and other Lexmark
All-In-One devices. The reason that Lexmark Tech Support disavowed knowledge
of this file is that they simply looked on the install CD and/or looked into
the web package for this specific file, and they did not find it. I can tell
you that it is not there, but it is imbedded in one of the files as a
resource.

Thanks Kelly.
I appreciate your reply and so quick. So this was only "a System and not the
Problem" causing my P.C. to start on its own. ! Where to start now any
suggestions. I took a look at your site and added it to "my Favourites". Very
Impressive (but I would be reading forever.) Tykker

Thanks to Kelly for the information and also I found the reason for the self
start of XP home P.C. from a freind, the tel-line to the modem was connected
for the first use of the fax program it must have had something to do with
it, now disconnected it has stopped and I hope it stays way. Just as a word
of interrest. Thanks Tykker
