Extraordinary Gentlemen

Hello,

My system every morning when I boot it up start off loading windows screen
and
just before getting to the login window i get a light blue screen and it
says messages
such as orphan file, deleting, reloading, replacing, etc.... some files
corrupt and etc.
The system does some sort of check where by several dozen files are replaced
and
recommends checkdisk. After a few seconds the system reboots and goes into
windows XP finally. But this has been happening randomly all week, and last
week
I got the blue screen that said system file corrupt, and couldn't load xp
until finally
after the 20 th attempt.

My drivers are all up to date - I spend hours updating them all.

So today i decided to test the thing by shutting down the system and
restarting
after 1 minute, also restarting --- and after 18 shut downs and restarts
there were
no problems. Why does it work now and not in the morning after the system
has been off for 8 hours ?

Could it be the following::

If I use my computer all day on the net and to create files etc for about 12
hours
and then shut it down sometimes I get error messages while its shutting down
such as Zone Alarm EXE not shutting down, and XP forces Zone Alarm and
kills it. Sometimes other things in the background dont allow winxp to shut
down smoothly.

Could this be the problem ? should i manually close zone alarm pro before
shutting
down ? Does the problem have to do with the computer being off for 8 hours
before restart? or due to shut down software challenges? or due to using
the
sytems nonstop for 12 hours (maybe lots of HD changes occur in 12 hours) ?

What do you people suggest I do, see, or test ? Should I try and figure out
what
won't shut down properly ? or what if everything shuts down OK after 12 hour
use
but in the morning won't start up properly ?

What is your guess people?

Thanks

It sounds to me you have a loose connection somewhere in your hard-ware
which tends to create more problems when the PC is cold.

Open the PC case and make sure all cables are securely plugged in and all
PCBs pushed right into the slots firmly.

As a test, leave the PC cold for a while then use a fan heater to warm the
PC box (and hopefully the inside) for a while and then try to boot the
computer.

OTOH, this newsgroup is for Microsoft Access, a database application and not
general computer access or hardware so this answer comes from a hardware
non-expert. <smile>
