My VPM ignores me

I can't connect my vpn.
The symptom? "Nothing"

It does nothing when I try to
connect or when I try to go to properties.

If I try to add a new vpn, I check the box in the
wizzard "connect to the network at my workplace and it
does nothing. Just hangs!

Ideas?
 
any errors in event viewer? or you may miss mini port.
