My user settings are not holding when i reboot

I have noticed over the last 2 weeks that my settings,
such as where I place icons, programs I have installed,
etc. will stay the same until I reboot my pc. When I do,
everything I did since last reboot goes back to what it
was before. Help?!

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
