So my toobar insists on bein in 2 rows even though it only needs one.

When I click the "Toolbar options" button to the right of the toolbar, I
can see the "Show buttons on one row" option but it's not clickable. I
similar thing happens when I use Tools>Customize...>Options. There is a
checked box next to "Show standard and formatting toolbars on two rows" but I
can't uncheck it because it's light gray and not black.

Thanks

which version of Word? What are the names of the toolbar(s) involved? (If you
don't know, drag the left edge of a toolbar down onto the document to undock it.
The name should show across the top. Drag it back up to dock it again.)
