I am the owner of a Sony Vaio. It was purchased in the USA in 2004. The
computer had major problems so I took it to a computer store here in Brazil,
where I live. The technician put on Windows XP but it is in Portuguese. I
believe he did a type of quick restore but did not use what was built in with
the machine. I've lost giga pocket and any other program that it came with. I
am unable to bring it to it's original restore because I believe this guy
totally re-installed it all. Is there anyway I can get in and bring it back
to 2004, English? Please help. I paid nearly U$2,000 for this machine.

No, there is no way to change the language from Portuguese to English.
You need to use the original CD that came with the computer, that should be
in English.
If you do not have a CD, contact Sony for options.

Hopefully you can get your $ back.
