My system freezes up?

T

turn

I'm using a brand new Western digital on my IDE off Motherboard and my
system freezes up when I'm using the Online Windows Update, sending an email
in html with a JPG image attacment & also using FTP. This is weird, I don't
know what is the problem but it may be my modem which is an older model -
Motorola SM56 Speakerphone modem with XP/2000 current drivers.

I have no conflicts in IRQ's and have only one PCI card (Modem)

Your help would be really appreciated.
