my subreport is repeating its data three times

ON: FRIDAY, 6TH OCTOBER, 2006

My subreport is repeating its data three times for every main report item.
(It should only display once for each main report item.)

First of all the subreport displayed no data at all for the main report
item, but left an equivalent blank space on the main report. I set the
properties sheet to "Can shrink = YES" which first of all repeted the
subreport twice; and now three times !

Is my error in the linking of fields, (Child & Master), or should I look
elsewhere ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, check the linking fields first, to ensure that there's no reason for
the triplication of data.

If that doesn't pan out, post back more details about how the reports are
related, what your tables look like, and the underlying queries.
