I receive many generically titled emails, so I have made it a habit to edit
the subject field of the email to something easier to identify. Now none of
the changes I have made in the past [or am currently making] are showing in
my inbox - only when I open the message do I see the subject I want it to be.
To give an example - copies of all the purchase orders I place everyday are
emailed to me with the same "document output manager" subject. I change each
email's subject to the vendor's name and PO# as they come in, so they are
easier for me to trace later. Well, I noticed yesterday that all my folders
are now full of "document output manager" titles - but when I open the email
itself, my vendor and PO# are still shwoing as the only subject in the field.
I have tried changing the subject via the "edit/edit message" bar as opposed
to just clicking in the field, and have also tried ctrl+s to save instead of
closing window and waiting for prompt - still nothing is working.
I'm stumped and frustrated - please help!!
