My Search glitch

Every day when I first log on to IE I get a pop up page entitled My Search,
with no means of closing - I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to get out of it -
sometimes it will pop up about up to 6 times - then it doesn't do it again
until after the pc has been off - as in overnight.

Any ideas?

i had that, its a bit of spyware, im not sure how to remove it though, try
looking in the add-remove programs thing and look for any toolbars or search
assistants that you didnt put on, then see what happens, BUT, if you do
uninstall anything from the add-remove programs, DO IT IN SAFE MODE so that
it doesnt reinstall itself, i had a virus and followed a 6 hour removal
guide, but missed where it said do it in safe mode or it doesnt work.

It is spyware, use www.xoftspy.com scanner or similar to scan for and remove
this, the add remove programs method doesn't always work as these programs
don't have proper uninstall routines built in.

It might be an idea for you to download a Spyware and Adware removal
tool such as Spybot. Spybot is free (or you can make a voluntary
donation) and definitely removes My Search as I've had the same problem
before. There may be better spyware and AdWare removal tools out there
but this one should work for what you want
