My Recent Documents

How do I save my recent documents? I have turned on this feature in Start
Menu Properities, but documents are not saved after I re boot the computer.
This worked fine until about two weeks ago. Help!

Yes, I downloaded a newer version about two weeks ago and probably made some
adjustments. I just opened tweak ui and looked for something to check or un
check, but could not find anything related to my issue. Do you have a
specific location in tweak ui that I should check or un check?

Hi Bob,

Yep.

TweakUI
[+] Explorer

Allow Recent Documents on Start menu
[[This check box enables the display of “Documents” on the classic start
menu and enables the “List my most recently opened documents” checkbox on
the Start menu customization dialog.]]

Clear document history on exit
[[This check box will control whether Explorer will clear the recent
documents history, run dialog history and typed-URL history when
you log off]]

Maintain document history
[[This enables the tracking of recently opened documents on the Start menu
and on the file menu of many applications. (Note that some applications do
not respect this setting). ]]

Hi Wes, I tried your suggestion and found that "save my recent documents" in
Tweak UI was already checked. I wrote a test note in MS Word and it did
appear, but when I re booted the computer it was gone the the word "emply"
appeared. Any additional suggestions? As I said, it was working well until
about two weeks ago when I downloaded a more current version of Tweak UI.

Hi Bob,

I should have though of this before.

Do you have any software like Disk Cleaner, EasyCleaner, Empty Temp Folders,
MRU-Blaster, cccleaner or similar. Some of these programs delete the My
Recent Documents folder or the contents of that folder.
