my presentation will not open displays "can not read"

I have been making a photo album presentation in powerpoint it was working
perfectly well when i closed it apart from it growing concerningly large.
when I next trid to open it it displayed can't read try openig with another
program
further efforts "this program not responding" when highlighted it previews
first slide.
I would be grateful for help

Try this:

Start PowerPoint
Choose File, Open
Browse to where you saved the file
Does the file appear on the list of available files? If so, choose it.
