Powerpoint freezes and opens duplicate presentations

Windows Vista - (Home Premium) Powerpoint 2003

Suddenly ppt doesn't work anymore.

1.On some presentations it freezes on the first slide the screen is black.
2.On other presentations it will play the show without the music.
3. If I try to re-insert the music the presentation freezes.
4. When I use the Task manager to end the program, the programs box shows
that there are duplicates of the presentation open.

I use ppt a lot and I need help. I hope someone can help.

Have you cleaned up your computer lately? Also try a "Detect and Repair" in
your Office programs.
