My Pictures Problem

T

The Weir's

I recently purchased a new digital camera that does small videos. My
previous camera took only still pictures. Now when I insert my Sandisk card
into my reader Windows XP only recognizes the video files and asks me do I
want to play them. The only way I can now view photo files as a slide show
is to copy them to my hard drive. This is ok but I like to view my photos
right away as a slide show, not copy them to the hard drive. Is there a
default setting to get the preview back as soon as I insert my card. I just
tried to view photos that were on a CD and the "view as slide show" was not
available either.

Any help would be appreciated.

.
Read the instructions that came with your card reader.
Most of them have choice which you want to read first,
videos or still photos. Remember - If all else fails
read instructions.

There are no settings for the card reader. The instructions do not require
any software to be installed when using Windows XP.

I thought it was only happening with my card that had mpeg's on it, but I
just tested a card that had only jpeg files on it. The "view as slide show"
is not available.

This is very strange. As mentioned, I can only "view as a slide show" if I
copy my photos to my hard drive.
