"My Pictures nlt listed in My documents Folder

My Pictures is on the hard drive in Documents and
settings but not listed when I open My Documents.It has
been suggested that I move it to My Documents but the
progran gives a warning message saying it cannot be
moved.The question is since My Pictures was originally in
My Documents,how can I ( is it possible) to get it back.
This is not a major problem but it's annoying.
Any further thoughts would be appreciated.

ps I have made a shortcut from Documents and Settings and
placed it in a folder in My Documents.However, even this
shortcut is not avaiable when using Windows Explorer to
locate files.(One of the suggestions)
